My Students
Before our school's closure for the coronavirus pandemic, my class was beginning to design 3D models that would be printed on our 3D printer. My classroom has computers capable of creating complex 3D designs. Now that students are homebound, they are unable to design these models using their Chromebooks alone.
My Project
The laptop included in the project will help my students finish the 3D modeling projects they started designing before we went on our coronavirus lockout. Prior to the lockout, they were using computers already in the classroom capable of designing more complex models than their Chromebooks were capable of.
My plan is to let each student borrow this laptop for a few days to complete their designs remotely.
Once finished, the laptop will be collected, sanitized, and given to the next student on my roster. I am able to print their completed designs remotely, take pictures or video, and provide feedback as if they printed it themselves.
