Let's Find Out...How to Open A World of Opportunity!
Help me give my students a subscription to Let's Find Out magazine to enhance our science and social studies curriculum and allow an opportunity to share what they learn with their families.

My Students
I have a Mixed Kindergarten ELD class of nineteen ELL students and six primary English speakers eager to learn. Most of my students who are learning English as a second language have no prior academic experience. They love engaging activities that allow them to participate and learn new things as their language develops.
My students are curious about EVERYTHING and love to learn with books and materials that they can take home to share with their families.
Many of my students will be the first in their households to speak fluent English.
My Project
We are requesting a subscription to Let's Find Out magazine to enhance our science and social studies curriculum and provide an opportunity to share what they learn with their families. The magazines I am requesting for my students have the potential to open up a whole new world of opportunity for their language development. Even though I have a few students who are English speakers, they have had limited experience with a print-rich home environment and have not had prior academic exposure to help prepare them for the rigor of our District Curriculum.
My students seek visually exciting and engaging materials to make language come alive.
This helps them develop vocabulary and a deeper understanding of science and social studies concepts. Scholastic's "Let's Find Out" interactive magazine subscriptions provide not only a monthly magazine to each of my students, it includes an online digital program with access to interactive games, informational videos, and read aloud books to use in the classroom.
