This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager learners who enjoy exploring the world around them. They love to try new things and share learning experiences with their friends. They work hard and try their best every day!

My students represent a wide variety of cultures, abilities and personalities.

Despite their differences, they help one another to learn and form friendships that defy language barriers. I love watching my students make progress over the course of the school year, often from being quiet and hesitant to bold leaders. My students are awesome!

My Project

Scholastic magazines are fun, lively and educational. They have games to engage the students, new vocabulary for them to learn and these magazines explain concepts in kid-friendly ways. During virtual learning, these are an exciting resource to share with the class weekly because they enjoy the videos and graphics.

These magazines are an excellent tool to encourage a love of reading and to help my students develop an interest in a variety of subjects.

I have used them for many years and they continue to be a valuable resource for my learners.
