This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are just beginning their lifelong learning adventure when they enter my classroom. Some have experienced a PreK setting and some have not. These students, at 5 and 6 years old, are learning the skills needed to become successful in their future. About a third of our school qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch. The skills they learn in my classroom will build the foundation they need to succeed in various parts of their lives. Self-regulation and social learning are a large part of the early childhood classroom and an area I focus on. These students are bright, inquisitive, caring, and growing every day.
My Project
The use of these Let's Find Out magazines is such a wonderful learning experience for my early learners. Between the printed copies, digital videos, games, and worksheets available, we are able to work on new and review skills daily.
My Kindergarteners love these Newsletters each year.
The newsletter includes monthly themes and correlates to our themes in the classroom. It is an engaging resource that teaches so many skills to my young learners.
My students love that they get a copy to read and take home to share with their family. The text is just simple enough but full of fascinating information.
