I work with an incredible group of diverse pre-kindergarten students. Most of the families are low-income families and educational materials are very hard to come by.
I really enjoy working with early childhood grades because they set the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
There are so many different cultures and personalities, but the one thing that my students all have in common is that they all love to learn and work together as a classroom community. They each have a lot to offer and share.
My Project
This project will make a HUGE impact inside and outside of my classroom because it will be engaging, useful, and full of exciting information for new learners.
We will use the "Let's Find Out" magazines as a supplement to classroom instruction because it provides a wide variety of text and lots of interactive content.
It is also very inclusive with other subjects other than science such as math and will also help students practice reading skills. Students will also be able to use these magazines as a reference to look back on inside of their journals throughout the year. This will also facilitate practice in informational reading for Pre-k students.
Please help me give my students another resource that will make a difference in our everyday learning.
