Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Kindergarten students are interested in learning about the world around them. I want to provide real life examples of our Science and Literacy curriculum to aide them in their learning.

I work in a Title 1 school with many of the students coming from low-income families.

Over 88% of the students in my school receive Free or Reduced Lunches. There are many students in my class who are English Language Learners, speaking another language at home. When they come to school, they not only need to learn a curriculum, but also need to learn how to speak the English language correctly.

My Project

The students will be able to learn more about the Kindergarten curriculum topics through real life examples displayed in the weekly "Let's Find Out" magazines for Kindergarten. The students will be able to actively engage in Kindergarten curriculum topics through online games and listening to the reading of their magazines, which the students can take home with them and share with their parents as well.

Providing donations for the "Let's Find Out" materials would be a great benefit to my students.

Having the "Let's Find Out" magazines will give meaning to Science concepts and other curriculum concepts that students will learn about in Kindergarten. Creating meaningful and engaging learning for my students is what I as a teacher want to provide. Any donations can help me with this goal!
