Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Can you imagine how difficult it would be to be in a school in which the language spoken and utilized in instruction was not the language of your home? That is the make-up of my students. Out of 20 students, 18 do not speak English as their home language. This will help these children flourish.
These students are beautiful, loving children who want to learn.
They have big hearts and great minds. 98% participate in the free and reduced lunch program, but each one has a heart so generous that you would be so proud!
These little ones need all the support they can have in order to help them develop their oral and written language skills. Everything goes better with a little bit of color and glitter! We make lots of student work displays, as you can see in our photo. Thanks for helping us continue in this way.
My Project
These young students are learning and developing their oral and written language skills. These are 2nd graders with big hearts and great desires to learn. They just love to learn everything better with a little glitter and lots of color! Look at their beautiful work in our class photo! Students will reinforce their language skills through the use of these items in every day class work and projects.
It is so important to display the work of the children so they can be proud of their learning.
These children do not have enough financial means to purchase another set of crayons, and we have depleted our store. Glitter will be a beautiful touch to their creative work. The yacker tracker will help us monitor our oral language with great success while having fun at the same time!
