My students need K'nex roller coaster kits so they can collaborate together and work through the engineering design process to plan and create roller coasters.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Lahti's classroom raised $322

My Students
Students in our building are excited about learning. They enjoy technology and hands-on activities. They work well with one another and share their thoughts and ideas. They want to create projects where they can explore the engineering design process.
Our students want to build things!
We try to find as many recyclable materials as we can, but sometimes that limits are creativity. We would like to buy roller coaster kits for our room that we will be able to use throughout the school year.
My Project
Students love to explore and build by doing hands-on activities in the classroom. By having roller coaster kits they will be able to work in small groups and investigate together the world of physics.
K'nex roller coaster kits are reusable and can be incorporated into a number of activities in the classroom that examines force and motion.
They will be used in both our science and math classrooms by allowing students to discuss speed, acceleration, velocity, angles and Newton's laws of motion.
The roller coaster kits will impact the students in our classroom as well as those in our building, because they will also be used in an after school program to help students learn about physics.
