My Students
My students all live in a low income city. They are in my vocational program to learn a trade so they can better themselves. My students come from all different types of homes, some live with their grandparent, some live with an older sibling, but when they come into my class/shop you would never be able to tell. These students are in my program for 3 years and the bond that they create with one anther is strong. Their fellow classmates are like their second family.
Thousands of hardworking families, many of whom were immigrants, who worked laboriously each day with a dream of a better life for their children here in America.
These dreams are still alive and well in our city and all you need to do is spend some time in our classrooms and you will see just that.
My Project
This equipment will be an extension of our hand tools. These drill will let my students create projects. Students will be able to make their projects without splitting the wood. Students will also use these drills to mount/ install signs around the school. Students will get to use real tools that are used by industry professionals today.
