Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The community that my students come from is based around the school community. This helps keep everyone involved in the learning process. Since many of my students receive bagged food on the weekends and above 98% of students receive free lunch, we try to hold breakfasts and lunches at the school to get that table time feeling that a lot may not get at home. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. The students in my classroom are always ready to learn. As we start off the new year with not knowing what it will bring, I want to make sure that the supports that are needed for them are in place right away so that we are able to move all students to benchmark and start off running.
These students are the future of America and each of them deserves the best opportunities to learn.
Most students are non-English speaking and come from many different countries. This diversity is what makes our classroom so special and gives new learning experiences to each other. These students really do deserve to achieve their highest goals next year!
My Project
This project will be used for some classroom environment and online learning resources that align with the common core standards. The gift card for teachers pay teachers will give me the opportunity to buy online slides and documents that can be used in person or remotely.
Having flexibility with resources will make a difference since we will not know what tomorrow brings.
The classroom environment resources are needed for how my classroom was turned upside down with a lot of things being thrown out because of the emergency cleaning when schools switched to remote learning. This will give the classroom and students motivation and calmness within the room to help them succeed.
