it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a first-year school counselor in the South Bronx. I am located in an old school building that has not been renovated in years. As a counselor, its imperative that I have a warm and inviting environment in my office to help my students feel welcomed and comfortable.
It's proven that kids typically gravitate toward warm, creative, and inviting spaces- therefore, I would love to give my shared office a makeover.
Additionally, an office makeover will help me solidify relationships with students because they will want to come into my office and talk to me about anything.
