Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help us work together! They are able to learn and succeed when working in small group centers, but desks all at different heights do not give the students all of the flexibility or space to do the hands on activities that help them learn best.

My students are kinesthetic and interpersonal learners in third, fourth, and fifth grade.

They are students who are reading well below grade level. Many of my students receive English as a Second Language services or have Individualized Education Plans.

My Project

With a table instead of desks, my students will have more space to spread out word sorts, manipulatives, or other materials so that all students can cbe active participants. The table will also take up less space than the desks which will leave more space for the children to move around the room.

My students are already reading below grade level and have to overcome many obstacles on a daily basis in both their academic and personal lives.

Having a table to sit around will help them feel more like a team working together. It will remove one of the obstacles in the way of their success.
