Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are coached everyday in PE class and participate in different activities with a good attitude and with more equipment will give them the opportunities that other schools have available. In turn, this will lead to students have everlasting healthy minds.
The minority enrollment is 98% and 81% are economically disadvantaged.
The nearest park that students need to be driven to from school is three miles.
My Project
All students learn differently and with all this equipment it allows for numerous stations to be set up in gym. Leaders will be nominated and rotated throughout the school year.
The school has been using the same cones and game balls for the last 16 years, with one year updating a couple of pieces of equipment.
With the students, seeing and using new equipment it will make them feel that people are investing in them, which will make them feel that they need to invest in themselves.
Students will be able to use these workouts for the rest of their lives.
