My Project

Many students have come back to the classroom lacking social development skills necessary at their age. Two years of online learning and quarantines have taken their toll on students' ability to connect with each other in the classroom. My goal is to provide an opportunity for students to grow together in a positive classroom environment.

Working together on group posters and similar projects are a great way for students to build communication skills, learn about new concepts through a research, inquiry-based lesson design, and build confidence among their peers.

Having a classroom laminator allows for easy display of student work while also preserving the integrity of their projects so they can take them home and share their learning with friends and family outside of the classroom as well.

Active learning transports students out of the classroom and into the time period they are learning about. It allows them to feel as though they are experiencing history live and in person, vs through a standard textbook.

Students using these materials will create posters, brochures, advertisements, simulate different economic structures, and so much more! All with the added element of being able to protect their work for years to come.
