This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I would like to purchase a communication device and software that can stay in my classroom and be available for all of my students who need it. I have a lot of students who are non-verbal, or their verbal communication is very limited, and using this device will help promote communication throughout the day.
If I were able to provide my students with this device, I would accomplish many goals in the classroom.
AAC devices can create the opportunity for improved communication by helping individuals express their needs, wants, and ideas.
The device can reduce frustration by helping individuals communicate more effectively, which can reduce frustration and improve overall well-being.
Using the device will provide enhanced social interactions by facilitating social interactions and helping individuals build relationships. Lastly, the device will help increase independence by empowering my students to participate more in daily activities.
