Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My fourth grade students are very loving, caring, and curious. They love being engaged in the classroom and truly appreciate all things donated to the classroom. In addition, these curious fourth graders love learning! My students come from a very low socioeconomic background and do not have the access to technology. Our school is 100% free breakfast and lunch. We have the highest rate of ELL (English language learners) in the state and a high number of special education students.

My Project

I work very hard each year to make sure each student feels included and loved in the classroom. The students love celebrating their birthday and love when others know it is their birthday. I want to make sure their birthday is extra special with a certificate, birthday necklace, and special birthday pencil. This project requests birthday necklaces, Happy Birthday, and Happy Birthday Awards.

In addition to birthdays, the students love celebrating the different holidays.

Two other pencils the students can benefit from are the Season's Greetings and Happy Valentine's from your Teacher pencils. These pencils are just a small way students can feel included in something. It is also a great way to help teach holidays.
