Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students attend a high-poverty school in the inner city.
My students work hard to learn but because of their disabilities and obstacles, they have to work extra hard to achieve the same amount as their grade-level peers.
They are bursting with energy and always ready to learn but every learning activity is never an easy one.
My Project
This is why it is important to celebrate their accomplishments and reflect on how their hard work has helped them achieve their goals. The materials I am requesting, such as cutlery, prize books, candy prizes and award certificates will supply us with the resources to properly celebrate their hard work. After every month-long writing unit, we like to celebrate by sharing our final writing pieces with our classmates and family members at a publishing party. At this party, we are always falling short of proper utensils for the food. I also love to give out prizes to recognize exceptional work.
Please help our class by providing these materials to celebrate our hard-earned accomplishments and to encourage my students to continue to work hard toward their academic and life goals.
