This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are Language Learners who have come from different countries and speak different languages. In our school we have many different nationalities represented among teachers and students. We have been doing a Multi Cultural Night in our school and would also like to have a Heritage Club in which many of our students can join and exchange cultural aspects of their countries, like food, holidays, traditions, and other things that they do in their native countries. Our club is in need of funds for hosting these meetings and providing for materials, snacks, and supplies for the success of our club.

Our goal is to have students stay after school, share about their home countries and the different heritages they represent.

We want to have foods from different places, paper products and supplies in order to decorate our bulletin board, and we want to be able to purchase flags from their countries and display them in the entrance of our school.

My Project

These materials and storage cart are necessary for the students to be able to decorate the Heritage Club's bulletin board.

The supplies will be used for decorating the board which will highlight the different heritages and cultural aspects of the students' home country.

These students will be staying after school and will be working together learning from each other and collaborating so that the Heritage Club is a success in delivering the message to our school community and integrating everyone to celebrate different heritages. This project is a non-confrontational way to show diversity.
