My Project

At our diverse Title I elementary school, we strive to create a welcoming environment where every student feels seen, valued, and celebrated. I am requesting classroom materials that better reflect the rich diversity of our student population. Our classroom is a vibrant community made up of students from a variety of cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. To ensure that every student feels seen, valued, and included, it is essential that our instructional resources represent their identities and experiences. One way we promote belonging and inclusion is through our classroom bulletin boards where we display student work. I am requesting a variety of pocket charts that will be used as displays where students see themselves reflected in what they learn.

I strive to create an environment where all of my students feel seen, included, and celebrated.

Representation in the classroom can help foster a stronger sense of belonging and self-worth among students, while also encouraging empathy, respect, and understanding across differences.

By providing pocket charts that will be used for displays to reflect our students’ lives and the diverse world around them, we can create a more equitable and enriching learning environment for all. Thank you for considering this request, and for your continued support of inclusive education.
