Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In recognition of Black History Month, our entire school will be participating in learning about African Americans, who were activist. Students in grades kindergarten to third grade, will be helping their teachers decorate their doors for a door decorating contest. Classes will receive certificates for participating and the top class in each grade level will get a prize.

Our 4th and 5th graders will be putting on a Famous African American Wax Museum in our Multi-purpose Room and Media Center.

The students will research a person, learn about that person, and dress like that person on the day of the event. Those two rooms will be decorated and add to the ambience. There will be prizes for students who take on their role as that famous person to the next level.
