My Project

This project is to create a calm-down corner for my classroom. Students with autism and issues in their home life rely on having a safe calm down area where they can go when they become frustrated, over-stimulated, or just need a quiet place to take a break. This project will allow just that.

The bean bag chair will be placed in our class to create a calming environment where students can go when they need a safe place to calm down.

This area will help to teach students self-soothing skills which are essential in day-to-day life.
