Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

An Herbarium is an important tool for learning because students can have an active learning experience.

Students will collect plants, annotate the information, write it down on tags and prepare the exsiccate and posteriorly identify the specimen.

Students can also keep the exsiccate with them, which is an important way to help them learn more and get more affinity with their work.

OBJECTIVES

Understand how to differentiate plants and their importance and practical application.

Differentiate between the concept of native plants and invasive plants. To understand the reason why and how some invasive plants go to other locations.

Understand the importance of plants to our usual life.

This project is a good strategy to rise student's interests in research and can help them improve also their argumentation skills.
