This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Literacy is a must in all areas, including Music. Currently we only have 4 books in our classroom and I want to expand their knowledge through storytelling, in my selection I include books about music theory, biographies, music genres, and most of all, stories about perseverance through music.
Having books in my music classroom will improve literacy in the students and also nurture their knowledge of music and how this art impacts daily life.
Good storytelling impacts a child and combining it with music will create a whole new experience for them in my classroom.
