Preschoolers love to make connections between the real world and their homes. We would like to extend their learning with creative materials to explore and develop their natural curiosity and wonderings.
Materials will encourage the children to use their imagination and their experiences to develop stronger connections with their peers while sharing learning with families at home using the language of art.
We will work on four steps to introduce new material in our classroom including inviting children to explore the new material using their senses; defining ways to use the material; and using art media for communication and critical thinking skills. While interacting with different art media, children can explore, gain confidence, and record learning experiences.
The documentation of our experiences and display of classroom learning leads to a warm and inviting positive place for us to play, learn, and grow together.
