My Students
My students this school year will be the youngest members of our school community. It will be there very first time in a school setting not due to the pandemic but due to their age! They are all 3 years old and are coming to a very new 3K program at our school. Our school is a Title 1 school where over 75% of our students population receive assistance of free meals due to their socioeconomic status. This will be a new experience for the students and their teacher. After 19 years of teaching elementary school, I was asked to teach the new program and enlighten the youngest students in the school. To make this the most precious learning environment and experience tools are needed to create such a learning and exploratory environment.
My Project
Technology is the way of the world! The pandemic showed us that to be true! Well, my students being 3 years old need to live through the world that technology brings to them. With a 21st century laptop it will enable the students in my class to visit places that are out of reach for them for so many reasons! We will be able to visit the Zoo and see, hear and learn about all animals. Technology opens up the whole world to my students to enlighten them and grow.
