My Project

I would like to bring to my students and others a special holiday and tradition that a lot of Asians around the world celebrate every year, the Lunar New Year/Chinese New Year. The materials such as the Chinese dolls, a gong, the traditional Chinese clothes among other items will help second graders take a closer look at some of the traditions such as lion dancing, firecrackers, red packets, and unique food and games. I plan to explore, compare and contrast several cultures such as the Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and more using this holiday. I hope you can assist me in making this learning a fun and educational one.
