it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting books for my social studies class at a middle school in inner Los Angeles. I have never had a library of books that I could use in my classroom and my students have gotten very dependent on reading on Chrome books and doing research on Chrome books.
While there is nothing wrong with teaching students 21st century skills, proper online research techniques and critical thinking skills, sometimes I just want to be able to have them read a book!
I would love for my students (who range in reading levels from 1st grade to 12th grade all in 1 room) to be able to pick up a social studies book from my classroom library and use that as a source for their research or writing assignment.
