Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sometimes students get overwhelmed and struggle to calm down. I want to help my students master breathing techniques and learn how to breathe deeply and mindfully.
Being about to trace their way as they breathe will help my students to work on their own Social-emotional progress with Mindful Breathing Boards.
In the Dramatic Play area our pots and pans are falling apart. This area of the classroom is an essential spot for students to communicate openly and independently with each other. These new pots and pans will help my students work together to use their imaginations and communication skills as they act out social situations. The Playful Penguins Ice Blocks allows my students to develop fine motor control, spatial awareness, problem-solving skills and more with every landscape and situations they work together to create.
As we work on racial justice and representation ,my students become important participants in our society. They work on fairness and expression based on their own experiences and perspectives. This comes through with all of the items we are asking for to enhance our learning environment.
