My Students

Our class is an ICT classroom with a mix of general education and special education students. They come to school with a fire in their bellies to learn. Our diverse class means that we have many different learning styles in our room. Our school is located in an area where our scholars don't have the means to enhance their learning at home. They are very driven to want to do well and learn new things. We want to be able to give the scholars the experience that they deserve to have. We want to create an environment that is nurturing, engaging, and welcoming.

My Project

In our classroom., we strive to get all students engaged in our lessons regardless of the subject. We know that the way to our students' hearts and their minds is to provide with opportunities to use technology whenever possible. We have discovered these amazing Boogie Boards that allow students to write down their thoughts. Not only are they engaging, they are quick, efficient, and maintenance-free. Many times we have used dry-erase boards but with that comes erasers, markers, and mess. Our students end up spending most of their time looking for a working maker and cleaning the board. These Boogie Boards cut all that end and truly allows them to engage in the lesson!
