This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a mixed population of Hispanic, Native Americans, African Americans, and Caucasians. We are a Title I elementary school with 100% free breakfast and lunch. Many of our students come to school in the same clothes every day. Our students do not have an opportunity to experience, extracurricular activities at home or outside of school. We do our best to bring current educational trends to our school to benefit our students.
This will be the second year of our "2 Way" school where each child will experience an English and a Spanish instructor.
My Project
My students come to school with masks too big, or masks that break during the day. This project would allow me to keep on hand an age appropriate mask so that we may stay in school! Band aids in the classroom would also be handy for those minor scrapes on the playground, keeping the nurse's office free for more serious illnesses and injuries.
Dial soap will be used upon coming into the classroom from specials classes, playground and pull out groups.
This project will maintain a clean, safe classroom for my kindergarten students.
More than half of students from low‑income households
