My Project
My students come from a low-income community. Since I teach PreK, most of my students come to me as their first school experience. That can be frightening for many students. I create a warm and welcoming environment that allows my students to flourish.
Art gives my students the opportunity to express themselves and things they love.
My art center is open all day long in my classroom and students love it! It is always open ended art where children can create whatever their heart desires. Since my art center is so well loved, we go through lots of paper! I refill the paper bins weekly. The paper in this project will allow me the chance to keep my art center stocked. The sentence strips help me write headings for all of my students creations.
In addition to the art paper, I have also included magnetic border strips. These fit my classroom perfectly. I have created a room with calm and cooling colors that allow children to relax and feel at ease.
