Help me give my students 26 frog dissection kits to work in cooperative learning groups. My younger students will dissect 30 owl pellets to discover food chains, and habitats through hands on discovery.

My Students
My students can quote me because I often say, "Everything is science! Science is everything!" Some of my rural Oklahoma students have many experiences with animals, ranching, farming, etc., but some students do not get the opportunity after school hours to have some unique learning experiences.
I have taught science for many years, and the best science classes are student designed labs where cooperative learning takes place.
I would like for all of my students to realize everything they come in contact with daily is here because of science.
During COVID the last two years we have had to limit our cooperative learning groups many times. We tried virtual labs, but it is not the same learning experience from which to be a hands on scientist.
My Project
My students will discover through dissection the body systems of frogs. We will expand the students’ ideas to incorporate into other areas of biology. We will learn about the metamorphosis of frogs, camouflage, local habitats, evolution, food webs, diversity of amphibians, etc.
My 6th graders will be intrigued by the owl pellets.
They have not had the opportunity to dissect an owl pellet. I know they will be very curious about these tiny bones from the owl. The learning groups are essential to advancing science in the classroom since COVID -19 took away a lot of hands-on science time in the classroom.
