My Students
Even in today's high tech world, we still have a need to do some things the old fashioned way: print it out on a piece of copy paper. Sounds simple enough, right? It is, as long as we have the paper on hand to do it. We are a small rural junior high in southwest Mississippi.
I teach junior high Science and Social Studies.
My students mainly come from low-income households that are struggling in today's economy. School supplies often have to take a back seat to things such as light bills and car payments. But my students still want to learn. To do that, we need to be able to make copies of worksheets, diagrams, and lab reports. Students need to be able to print out their reports and projects. To do that, we need a ready supply of plain white copy paper.
My Project
With the emphasis on math and science in education these days, it is imperative that students have the information they need at hand. Not only are they required to participate in their education while at school, they have assignments to complete at home. To do this, they need the materials on hand in order to be successful in their learning. All it takes for my students to accomplish their goals is simple, plain copy paper.
Your contribution to the needs of my students is invaluable.
Copy paper is a simple, everyday thing that can make all the difference in the world in the education of a junior high student. Thank you in advance for considering my proposal.
