This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders who are general education students with Individual Education Plans (IEP) who live in many different parts of Long Beach. The students have learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, Autism, and or Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and they are working hard to succeed in general education courses to graduate high school.

They come from diverse social and economic backgrounds and are all working towards their future goals for higher education and careers.

The neighborhood lies in Lakewood, but it is a part of Long Beach Unified School District. My students come from all over Long Beach to attend this school.

My Project

These materials will make using the Chromebook an even more enjoyable learning tool. Now the students can watch videos, listen to their textbook, and cancel out noise when using their new headphones in our classroom.

With the use of headphones, it will help the students focus and their level of productivity will increase.

When students are able to focus only on what they need to hear, fewer distractions take place, and the students can really get to WORK!

When students have the materials they need, ANYTHING is POSSIBLE!
