it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our TK through 12th-grade drama and music program provides students with an opportunity to express themselves, build confidence, and collaborate through the performing arts. From our youngest learners exploring sound with Boomwhackers and xylophones to older students mastering improvisation and stage presence, we use music and theatre to spark joy, creativity, and connection. These activities support both academic and artistic growth, while also serving as powerful tools for mental health, helping students reduce stress, build resilience, and express emotions in a safe, supportive space.
What makes our students truly special is their passion and drive to grow.
They’ve helped build our drama program from the ground up—bringing productions like The Wizard of Oz, Coco, and The Twilight Zone to life with creativity and heart. Whether it’s during enrichment time or after school, they dive into music and acting with enthusiasm. Many are now dreaming even bigger—eager to audition for upcoming shows like Wicked, Peter Pan, and a new Wizard of Oz revival. With access to more instruments, drama resources, and performance materials, students of all ages can discover their voice, support one another, and shine—both on stage and in life.
