This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

You have BRAINS in your HEAD. You have FEET in your SHOES. You can STEER yourself any DIRECTION you CHOOSE -Dr. Suess. My students are eager to learn and share their knowledge with one another.

Their creativity and enthusiasm for learning, keeps them active and moving!

Our classroom family supports and encourages the unique learning styles of all. Our Kindergarten program consists of 84 total students. We have many different learning styles and needs. Our school is an A+ School of Excellence.

My Project

My students are divided into groups of 2 or 3 for center rotations. One of their favorite centers is the smart board area. Here they are able to interact with various educational games with their peers. Unfortunately the sound is not able to be turned up as it would project to the entire classroom. Therefore we plug headphones into the laptop so they can hear. This becomes a problem, as they forget to take them off when its their turn and not all players can hear what is being said. I can't tell you how many close calls we have had with the laptop being pulled off the shelf.

This donation of wireless headphones will allow all players to hear what is happening simultaneously and enable them to provide help to their peers if needed.

It will also be used during our listening center area in the mornings. Our current head phone system is a tangled mess after most rotations. By helping us to go wireless, you will eliminate this daily struggle and keep your teachers sane!
