Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
While they are accustomed to a 10:30 lunch time, the 5 and 6 year olds in my class will have to endure until almost 12:30 this year before they have lunch! For this reason we decided that a snack time around their old lunch time would be a great idea to hold them over until the late afternoon.
Every student in our class gets free lunch, and not every child in our class can afford to bring a snack every day.
Since the school does not provide snacks outside of lunch time, this project is asking for snacks including cereal, goldfish, and popcorn (which we will be able to make in our new microwave we were just gifted on DonorsChoose!) to make sure that every student has something to eat while they work and study hard throughout their long day!
