My students come from diverse backgrounds, and have the same desire to learn new things and explore the world around them. They love the crazy science experiments we do or the random dance parties we have during the week, when the world gets a little to much for us. They absolutely love discovering new things inside the classroom as well as outside on the playground.
My students have to qualify to attend our school by being: financially in need, special education or services needed or in state care.
My students are just like every other child in this world, they just don’t have the same options and opportunities available to them if it wasn’t for them being in the program.
My Project
With the light up cube my students will have the opportunity to explore things in new and fun ways inside and outside the classroom.
With the multiple sides the light cube has, all my students no matter what their needs may be can use it to explore.
The cube is rechargeable, so we can put it anywhere in the classroom, which is helpful, since I have the smallest classroom (but the same amount of kids) in the school. What is also awesome about the cube, is that we can even take it outside to explore things.
With the tray that comes separately we can explore tactile things as well, or even put bugs or worms on it. We will be able to use it in art exploration, science, story telling, math, even dramatic play. There isn’t an area of my room inside or outside we couldn’t use the cube and tray in.
