My Students
Our students, in grades 8th through 12th grade, all come from a variety of different backgrounds. We have a wonderful IB program, AP classes, dual-enrolled students, general education program and students with exceptional needs. No matter where the students are academically, our teachers strive to meet their needs and are always looking for ways to improve lessons to reach every type of learner.
My Project
Our science department is in need of a class set of spectroscopes. Students in grades 7 through 12 could all benefit from having these in our school to share. 7th and 8th graders learn about the wavelengths of light and the electromagnetic spectrum while high schoolers in more advanced classes dive deeper into the components of light and how it interacts with different gasses. Supporting this project would benefit the thousand students within our school each year.
A class set of spectroscopes is a small investment that would have a huge impact within our science department.
Our teachers would be able to collaborate across the grade levels and expand learning from 7th grade on up through 12th.
