Help me give my students the necessary school supplies to ensure they are able to complete classwork and homework for them to succeed with crayons, a pencil sharpener, dry erase boards and markers.
I work with a variety of third grade learners. My students are eager to learn with all the right tools. My students are very expressive about what it is they want and need. Due to their families financial struggles, 90% or more of my students lack the necessities to get through a single school day.
I teach an amazing group of kids.
They come to school with the weight of the world on their shoulders and always have a smile on their faces. They are always trying to find new ways to help me enhance their lessons. My students deserve to have the tools needed to learn without worries.
My Project
It is necessary to have sharpened pencils, erasers, dry erase markers, crayons, glue, and colored paper as part of my students daily learning lessons. On a daily basis there are only about three to five students that will have one to two of the necessary supplies for the daily lessons. It is impossible to learn without having the proper tools to use.
As a new teacher, I do not have the supplies to give to 26 students on a daily basis.
I try to purchase and share what I can, but it is impossible for me alone to supply my entire class with their daily school supplies. I have become a certified full time teacher on December 10, 2018, and I am doing everything I can to help my students, but I am in dying need of supplies.
Having DonorsChoose.org help me and my class would be a tremendous help. It will allow me to focus more on my lessons and teaching, opposed to who needs supplies and where I will be getting them from on a day to day basis. The supplies will be divided amongst my students to ensure that they all will have the tools at home and in school to do their assignments. This opportunity is greatly appreciated.
