My Project
This year, due to changes beyond our control, my students will not have access to a dedicated music teacher. As their classroom teacher, I’m stepping in to provide music instruction so students can still experience the joy and benefits of learning through music—and I need your help to make that happen.
For this project, I’m requesting essential music supplies to build a fun and engaging classroom music program.
I’m asking for a 25-pack of soprano recorders so each student has their own instrument to learn basic music reading and performance skills. I’m also including three sets of 8-note handbells to give more students the opportunity to play together, encouraging teamwork and pitch recognition during group activities. A Boomwhackers Classroom Pack will provide an interactive and collaborative way to explore rhythm, melody, and harmony. Finally, a classroom metronome will help students build a steady sense of beat and tempo.
Many of these lessons will naturally connect to math, especially multiplication, as students learn to count beats, recognize rhythmic patterns, and understand musical groupings. These tools will allow my students to explore music in a hands-on, meaningful way while strengthening academic skills. Music education supports listening, memory, focus, and self-confidence—all while making learning joyful and fun. Your support ensures that every child has the opportunity to explore, create, and connect through music.
