Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school is located at the heart of Richmond, CA where the population is predominantly Latinx and African-American. Most of my students are English Language Learners, bilingual and come from low-income families. Our school is a Title I school that offers 100% free breakfast and lunch to meet their needs. My students are very bright and full of curiosity; they are always asking great questions, and are eager to learn new things.
My second graders are compassionate, caring, and highly perceptive of people's thoughts and emotions despite being so young.
This amazing class of exceptional students is resourceful, resilient, and eager to accelerate their learning.
