Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students live in Los Angeles surrounded by poverty. They have limited resources available to them in their neighborhood and school. Many have experienced trauma in their lives and this makes it difficult to attend school. When they are at school they are eager to learn, feel safe, and try to leave their troubles behind.
Students feel safe at school.
They come to learn, play, and have fun with their peers. All students at our school receive free lunch and now they are given a hot dinner before they go home.
My Project
My students are eager learners. The Magic Board will be use to practice writing letters, CVC words, blends, and much more. They can have fun by drawing in the Magic Board. The magnetic letter tiles will be use to write words. Students will be able to make a sentence with the Big Box of Sentence Building. When they create their own sentence then they will copy it on the Magic Board. Tactile letters to help all learners. They will be able to trace the letter with their finger and then write it on the magic board. All these great resources will be use with my students daily to reinforce what they are learning.
