This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Lunar New Year and school supplies can be a fun and meaningful way to integrate cultural celebrations into the school environment.
Creativity in Learning: During the Lunar New Year, students can be encouraged to use their school supplies for projects or activities that celebrate the holiday.
For example, drawing, painting, or writing about the holiday using the supplies (like markers, pencils, or paper) can help students learn about Lunar New Year traditions and symbols.
New Year Resolutions: Just like New Year’s resolutions, students could use school supplies like light up tracing centers to set academic goals or personal growth intentions for the Lunar New Year. It’s a great way to merge the idea of writing to set a new year resolution.
By incorporating elements of the holiday into students’ learning tools, you can celebrate Lunar New Year in a meaningful way while also encouraging creativity and success in school!
