My Project

My K–2 students are joyful, curious, and full of energy. They come to school ready to sing, move, and explore, even though many have never had a real music class or the chance to play actual instruments. What makes them so special is their ability to find joy in learning, even when faced with challenges beyond their years. I want to nurture that joy by creating a music classroom filled with sound, creativity, and opportunity.

These instruments will make music class a place my students look forward to a place where they can shine.

Right now, we use body percussion and imaginary instruments, but they deserve more. With rhythm sticks, egg shakers, bells, and other hands-on tools, my students will finally be able to feel, hear, and create music. These resources will help them develop rhythm, coordination, focus, and confidence, all while having fun and working together in a safe and supportive space.
