Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students haven't experienced a full-year of education due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. They have worked hard to fill in the learning gaps but we still have work to do!
This project will help supply the curriculum needed to support phonemic awareness for students in the primary grade levels.
As students become strong readers, they also have to build a strong foundation in phonemic awareness; "phonemic awareness is the ability to understand that spoken words are made up of individual sounds called phonemes, and it’s one of the best early predictors for reading success."
