Help me give my students multiple copies of specific books to be shared among fourth and fifth grade to prepare them for the Battle of the Books competition.
These eight titles have been specifically selected by the NPS and are used for the 2023-2024 Battle of the Books. Each of the Battle of the Book Club members will have a set of the titles to check out and read as they prepare to battle against other students throughout the district. Students will have until the end of March to read all of the titles and will be rewarded at different intervals for completing the books. I am excited because this is the first year I will organize and coach a Battle of the Books for my school, and it's an event that students don't forget. For many, this is the beginning of their appreciation and love of reading.
By having a Battle of the Books competition, our fourth and fifth grade scholars will be encouraged to put down those cell phones and gaming devices and pick up a book.
Our scholars scholars will not only be encouraged to read, but they can also listen as their teachers or parents read some of the more challenging books aloud.
