I teach First Grade at a small rural school in Northwest Oklahoma. My students might be small town country kiddos, but they have a curiosity of what lies in store for them out in this big world that is like no other.
They also have imaginations that can take them anywhere.
My students like to use books to escape on new adventures. For this reason, I would like to build up my classroom library so that my students may access to many adventures.
"You can find MAGIC wherever you look.
Sit back and relax, all you need is a BOOK!"
-Dr. Seuss
My Project
The books I have chosen will enhance my small classroom library. They will give my students a variety of interests, as well as, give them multiple independent reading levels. The titles range from the classics to some of the newest titles.
I believe by giving my students more book titles to choose from that their love for reading will grow.
As their love for reading grows, their ability will increase. These books will aid in my students becoming stronger readers.
I cannot wait to see the excitement as they go on their next adventure through a book provided by you.
