Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am passionate about creating a classroom environment that is both welcoming and conducive to learning, one that reflects the real world and promotes collaboration, creativity, and well-being. My students are incredibly resilient and curious, but many are still adjusting to the social and emotional challenges that came with the pandemic. This project is designed to support them in navigating these challenges, helping them engage more deeply with their learning and with each other.

The iPad I am requesting will enable my students to share their thoughts and ideas more easily, giving them a platform to make their thinking visible and collaborate in new ways.

With the iPad, students can create multimedia presentations, engage with interactive content, and work together on digital projects. This will enhance their ability to communicate and collaborate, skills that are essential in today’s world. By allowing them to use technology in a hands-on way, I hope to foster a deeper sense of ownership over their learning and encourage peer-to-peer interactions that have been lacking since the pandemic.

The LED lights will transform our classroom into a calming, flexible space where students feel comfortable and safe. These lights will create a more relaxed atmosphere, helping students focus and reducing stress. This simple change can make a huge difference in creating an environment where students feel valued and engaged, especially for those who struggle with anxiety or other mental health challenges.
