This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I provide all my energy to students who range from a myriad of disabilities and personalities.
Some disabilities include specific learning disabilities, autism, emotional disturbance, fetal alcohol syndrome, intellectual disabilities, and ADHD.
Most students require social-emotional, academic, and functional support to access the curriculum. My students learn differently; they require many accommodations and resources to help them become successful. Nevertheless, working with our students, it is gratifying to see them grow as a person and academically. Year-long, I plan on creating different hands-on projects. I've learned that hands-on learning engages the brain's left and right sides. Using multiple learning styles, the brain creates better connections and can store more relevant information for later use in life.
